I was very excited to be nominated and even more excited to then also be shortlisted for the Wedding Industry Awards 2012. Only previous clients from 2010 and 2011 were eligible to vote and had to put in quite a bit of effort to rate my services and write into various comment boxes. Nearly everybody did and I was given the comments by the organisers, although anonymously.
I was quite simply amazed at how many of you took the time and put in the effort to do so, but I was not prepared for the absolutely incredible, awe-inspiring, stupendous, unbelievable and mind blowing demonstration of LOVE! “Before deciding on Vis-A-Video, Ines sent my husband and I a fabulous, good quality brochure and DVD showing some clips of previous weddings she had done. Something that other videographers had not done for us. The clips were amazing and we knew we wanted Ines to do our wedding, a decision that later turned out to be absolutely right. We met up with Ines before the wedding and she seemed lovely.
She listened to our requirements and on the run up to the wedding, queries were always responded to. On the day of the wedding, Ines was fantastic – I don’t know how she did it but I barely noticed she was there (particularly remarkable considering she seems to have caught practically every moment of the day). Ines told me that her assistant would be there with a second camera on the day but afterwards I even asked Ines if he was there (he was but I didn’t notice him at all)! Many friends and family who were there have also said the same – that they were so inconspicuous and that was exactly what we wanted. After the wedding, we received our DVD and we are just so unbelievably thrilled with it.
The production and sound is very very high quality – it is extremely professional. Ines managed to capture (practically) every moment… and this was particularly difficult as it was a Jewish wedding and there really was so much going on (and I mean so much!). Ines managed to use all the songs we gave her as backing music and has cleverly intertwined the music with the actual sounds going on at the wedding. Beforehand we told Ines that didn’t just want music over the whole DVD and it was important to get the sounds going on on the day (for example the Rabbi talking etc) and she did exactly that – there was a perfect ratio of music to sounds.
With regard to the music, Ines expertly managed to relate some of the lyrics of the songs to the pictures going on on the DVD. For example, it rained during our outside ceremony and Ines had the song ‘Why Worry’ on as you could see people putting up their umbrellas. There is also one clip where you see a duck on the lake there and the lyrics ‘birds flying high’ is heard. There are lots of examples of this and I think this was particularly clever considering the songs were our choice and we only gave a dozen.
Ines did a 3 minute highlights of the day which was edited brilliantly. Ingenious stuff. I also loved the ‘Outtakes’ which showed some funny clips of the day which wouldn’t have been right on the main DVD but I’m so pleased she put them in for us to see. The DVD came in a lovely case and we will treasure it forever. It really is the best wedding video I have seen (and I’ve seen a lot). What a fantastic memory of the day. I won’t hesitate in recommending Vis-a-Video.”

“My husband found Vis A Video online when making preparations for our wedding. They were friendly, and helpful from the beginning. They were set up and waiting for us at the chapel, and as the bride, felt like I was a movie star for a day! They even processed our film in a speedy manner, so I could take it back to the states to show my family.
I have shown my wedding video to all my family, and friends. Before I show it to them, I always say “this isn’t the typical boring wedding video, just wait until you see this!”. And, they are NOT disappointed. The music is set to all the appropriate times/locations, and its truly like watching a movie.
There is not one special event that was missed in this film, its truly is amazing.
