This is Sarah and Derek’s relaxed and cosy country style wedding at Bijou’s Cain Manor. Sarah wasn’t quite sure she wanted her getting ready filmed but I sneaked in to get a few shots and I’m so glad I did. There are always such beautiful fleeting moments of breathless anticipation that just cannot be repeated, plus all those lovely little details that mean so much – and this way Derek also got to share them.
The weather, on the other hand, was somewhat less beautiful for most of the day. But it just goes to show you can still have a great day complete with gorgeous photos and film to prove it, even if it rains. After dinner, the sun decided to make a brief but glorious appearance and we piled outside to make the most of it.
It was quite simply lovely to work with Phil of Philip Bedford Wedding Photography. Even though it was our first time it did feel like we’d known him forever – a kind of testament to the easy-going lovely-ness that is Phil. If you’d like to see his take on this wedding you can check it out here.
It also demonstrates how photos and film capture a completely different side of the day, I don’t think you’ll find duplicates of Philip’s photos in our film – except perhaps for the ceremony where we hung out next to each other due to space and un-obtrusiveness issues.
