Rafeef and Michael’s wedding day at Gosfield Hall, Braintree
Another busy weekend for Vis-a-Video – I was back at Gosfield Hall, for the third time this year, no less, to film the wedding day of Rafeef and Michael. It was a good day. The roads were the clearest they’ve ever been, the sun decided to make an unexpected appearance and it wasn’t even that cold.
Plus I was working with my favourite crowd – Keith and Jamie of Studio Rouge fame for the photographs and Sue from Gosfield for general organisation – they are all fantastic and made the day so much more pleasant. Gosfield really is one of my favourite places. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, the staff there are all so very friendly and efficient.
Rafeef and Michael’s Trailer
But onto my couple – what can I say: Rafeef made the most beautiful bride with the most gorgeous, expressive eyes I’ve seen in a long time. If you watch the trailer you’ll know what I mean, I almost made myself cry editing this…Michael is a very lucky man – and a very nice one, too, so I suppose he deserves it!! The colour scheme was deep burgundy calla lilies and Rafeef wore the most exquisite intricate lace wedding dress. Everything went smoothly and the crowd had a marvelous time, much love was felt by all. There was even some left over for us, as the Mother of the Bride came over and spontaneously gave me a hug for being so lovely! How nice was that…?!
After the civil ceremony we, rather unexpectedly even for the bride and groom, hence they couldn’t tell us about it, had a second (muslim) ceremony in the ballroom, which actually was quite lovely and an extremely joyful affair.
The evening then kicked off with ‘Simply Swing’, a great Jazz & Swing Band I actually had the pleasure of working with before earlier this year at Leez Priory.
All in all, a really nice day with a bunch of warm and wonderful people. I love fusion weddings!
